Happy Monday, this post dives into the truth, this post might be something you needed to read today or something that gives you the closure that you are looking for!
I want to touch on reasons we have to stop being available for the ones who are not available for us! I am very big on protecting your energy and peace, therefore I was inspired to make this post.
Now, when it comes to this topic, it could relate to a relationship, friendship, or family. If a person in your life only wants the benefit from you, THEY HAVE TO GO.
And here are the reasons why…
1. It’s emotionally/mentally draining
-When you are always there for someone, and the energy is not reciprocated that becomes draining. It’s okay to do things out of the goodness of your heart, but do not let people take advantage of your kindness and generosity. Because when you need help, you want to surround yourself with people who are supportive, loving, and honest.
2. Don’t let the same negative individuals re-enter your life
-We have all had that moment where life is going great, and that negative person tries to come right back in your life. Let me tell you THIS IS A TEST. Do not let the bonds you build with someone distract you from their true intentions. I am guilty of giving people way more chances than they deserve. But we have to start protecting our peace.
3. You deserve time to yourself
-Don’t let people make you feel guilty for self-care, we all need a break at times, especially if you are that person that everyone depends on. Take time for yourself, take time to get your mind/spirit in the right place. You want to bring in that positive energy.
4. Ask yourself if the person is worth your energy today?
-Sometimes it’s difficult to let go of the people we care about when they mean us no good, but we have to question if we want to pour that energy into that negative atmosphere. If the majority of the time you are around that person and they disrupt your peaceful spirit, it’s time to cut them off. No one wants to be in unhealthy situations!
So, there are some reasons you have to stop being too available because when you are, you lose yourself in the process. Make sure you take the time to re-evaluate the people in your life because everyone is not meant to be a part of your journey.
