Chocolates, roses, and teddy bears are what we see around this time of the year. Couples holding hands and love is in the air, which means Valentine’s Day is here.

Suckers for romance love this time of the year, but most hate when this day approaches as they wish they could knock down all the shelves in the grocery stores.

This blog is for single college students, a piece to spread the love to the ones without a lover.

Now, when you are single, people expect you to sit alone with a bucket of ice cream rewatching Friends or The Office on Netflix. Hopefully, you are not crying your eyes out to The Fault in Our Stars for the 100th time like me. However, most students find things to do.

Breana Wayne, a sophomore at Bradley said, “You could watch movies with friends and order pizza.”

Other ideas are going out to the movies, bowling, or if you are near a Hooters then you can get sweet revenge on an ex while enjoying some chicken wings.

Another idea is to spread the love to yourself, according to Rayfield, a way to spend your Valentine’s day is to kick your feet up and pamper yourself.

But the real love you could give to yourself is going to the grocery store to get all the candy that is half off on February 15th.

However, even when you are single, sometimes this holiday makes you wish you had someone to share it with. So how do students meet a match around campus?

Speaking of a match, you might just find one on Tinder (Which can sometimes take a left, but there are rare Tinder love stories).

Most agree with Tinder being an easier way to connect with peers through apps or campus events said Kayla White, a sophomore at Bradley.

Also, going to a local cafe can help you see new faces said, Trenton Lige, a senior at Bradley.

Who knows? maybe that Caramel Frappuccino is the beginning of a new love story.

Another way is to, “approach your crush face-to-face because you can communicate/vibe differently and be attracted to what is really there and not edited in picture form,” said Tommy Vannieuwenhoven, another senior at Bradley.

So, whether you are trying to get a boo through an app or school, find ways that work best for you.

To wrap this up, students love a great playlist for Valentine’s Day. Which song describes your mood for Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments!
